After two semesters worth of planning, and a mix of excitement and nerves, we made it to Guatemala! Safe and sound I will add. Our trip from Dulles International Airport to Guatemala City went really smoothly, even though the overnight flights left us pretty tired. After landing, everything from collecting our luggage to passing through customs was quick and easy as well. Our driver Julio gave us a warm welcome and took us directly to Chica Bean where we will be staying. We hope the picture below captures our tiredness.. but we are EXCITED!!
